Next steps once you plant your tree

1. Create a community watering schedule

Determine when your neighborhood/community wants to water your trees. If you have any questions or would like some help in organizing a watering system, please contact your community tree planting member! Canopy recommends picking a weekday the week after the plantings and following that for the rest of the summer and fall for easy remembering.

2. Remind your neighborhoods to water their trees on hot days

Once you select a date, you can help remind each other to water the newly planted trees! Feel free to create an email thread or group chat. Your neighborhood can also sign up for reminders from Canopy on when to water.

3. Let Canopy know how your tree is doing!

Maintaining a tree can be scary, but Canopy is here to help! Let us know if your tree is healthy or growing poorly by filling out the Tree Health Form. If your unsure about your trees health, have too many to fill out the form, or need maintenance done on your tree, please fill out the Site Visit/Maintenance Request Form.

Canopy wants to make sure your tree is growing well and healthy. Let us know using the form below about the condition of your tree and if it needs any maintenance.

Do you want Canopy to check the health of your trees instead of filling out a form? Does your tree look unhealthy or like it needs maintenance? Let us know below!

4. Return your watering bags

Once your tree has been in the ground for 3 years, Canopy is happy to take back your trunk guards and watering bags. Contact us if you are interested in returning the items. Please reuse or return them- do not throw them away!
